What we do
Binding
Binding serial volumes, law reports, minute books or rebinding individual books are all regular tasks for the Bindery. Binding can be hard bound, quarter bound or limp bound depending on requirements and can incorporate the inclusion of photo guard sheets, CD sleeves and pockets.
Digital printing
Leaflets, booklets, duplicate sets (carbon copy forms), cards and bookmarks can all be produced to a high standard.
Restoration and repairs
If you have a family heirloom or a favourite book that needs some extra care then contact us to discuss what repairs are possible.
Preservation
If you have unique books and documents that need to be kept then our archival boxes and envelopes may be suitable.

Thesis printing and binding What you need to know
All Customers

Which universities: The University Bindery can print and bind theses for a variety of tertiary institutions. Please check your regulations so you know what specifications need to be met.

Payment for thesis printing and binding can be made online by credit card.

Delivery: Bound theses can be collected from the Bindery, the General Library lending desk or couriered to a designated address, e.g., Graduate Centre or private address.

Standard requests take 4-5 working days (plus delivery time) from receipt of payment.

Urgent requests take 2-3 working days (plus delivery time) from receipt of payment.
University of Auckland Customers

PReSS accounts: University of Auckland students wanting to use funds from PReSS accounts should complete their order using a credit card, and retain a copy of the final receipt for reimbursement.

Thesis Deposit: Submitting a thesis for printing or binding does not deposit a copy in the University repository. This must be carried out as a separate process. See: Depositing Theses
